Rolling process optimization of 20CrMnTi low alloy structural steel wire rod
Aiming at the problem of high hardness of 20CrMnTi wire rod,the influence of different laying temperature and air-cooled roller table speed on the microstructure and hardness of 20CrMnTi wire rod was studied, and the optimization measures were put forward. The results show that due to the high laying temperature and long slow cooling section during rolling, bainite and martensite appeare in the core of 20CrMnTi wire rods, resulting in the average core hardness of 206HBW.With the decrease of laying temperature, the proportion of ferrite and pearlite in the core of 20CrMnTi wire rod increases, the fast cooling micro-structure of martensite and bainite decreases until it is eliminated, and the hardness of the core decreases gradually. When the laying temperature is controlled at about 850 ℃ and the speed of the air-cooled roller table is 0.26-0.30 m/s,the core micro-structure of the 20CrMnTi wire rod is uniformly distributed ferrite+perlite with fine interlayer spacing, and the hardness is be-low 170HBW.By optimizing the length of the slow cooling section and the controlled rolling and controlled cooling process, the microstructure of bainite and martensite of 20CrMnTi wire rod can be effectively inhibited, and its hardness can meet the require-ments of the customers.
