Effect of holding temperature of hot stamping on microstructure of Al-Si coating of 22MnB5 steel
Al-Si coated hot stamping steel is increasingly used in the automotive industry. In order to explore the effects of reheating process on the microstructure of Al-Si coating steel before stamping,a hot-dip plating experiment was conducted on 22MnB5 cold rolled substrate. The microstructure evolution of Al-Si coating at different temperatures was studied by scanning electron microscope, laser con-focal microscope, glow spectrometer, electron probe and X-ray diffractometer. The results show that the Fe content of the coating increa-ses gradually with the increase of holding temperature, the maximum mass fraction can reach more than 50%,and the mass fraction ratio of Al and Fe is basically fixed above 900 ℃.The penetration depth of Al element into Fe matrix can reach 30 μm.The phase of the coat-ing includes Al-Fe binary alloy phase and Al-Fe-Si ternary alloy phase.
