Strengthening the smart governance level of ecological and environmental management,and establishing a modern smart ecological and environmental governance evaluation system that aligns with China's national conditions,is of great significance for building a Beautiful China.This article first reviews the theoretical foundations and key concepts of modern smart ecological and environmental governance;Secondly,it summarizes the research outcomes of existing ecological and environmental governance evaluation indicators,and constructs a modern smart ecological and environmental governance evaluation system based on the theoretical framework.Then,it analyzes the basis for selecting evaluation indicators and introduces the basic process of implementing weighted evaluation using the CRITIC method in the modern smart ecological and environmental governance evaluation system.Finally,using 14 representative provinces and cities from eastern,central,and western China as examples,the proposed evaluation system is applied to conduct an in-depth analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each region in the process of modern smart ecological and environmental governance.
