Expert consensus on clinical diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients coinfected with SARS-CoV-2
The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has emerged as a newly identified and rapidly spreading infectious disease. In China's"Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Infection(Trial Version 10),"HIV/AIDS patients are classified as severe/critically ill high-risk populations. The clinical manifestations, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients after contracting the SARS-CoV-2 require close attention from healthcare professionals. However, there is currently a lack of relevant guidelines or consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection in HIV/AIDS patients for reference. Therefore, the HIV/AIDS Diagnosis and Treatment Quality Control Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of STD and AIDS Prevention and Control organized multidisciplinary experts from various fields(including infectious diseases and critical care medicine).Based on evidence from evidence-based medicine and multiple discussions, they have summarized 21 recommendations to provide theoretical and practical references for the diagnosis and treatment strategies of novel coronavirus infection in HIV/AIDS patients.
