Psychological distress represents a significant mental burden in AIDS patients coping with the disease,which can impede adherence to combination antiretroviral therapy(cART),diminish quality of life,and increase the risk of mortality among AIDS patients.Therefore,this article provides a comprehensive review on the influencing factors,assessment tools,and intervention strategies of psychological distress among AIDS patients.The aim is to summarize literatures to provide a reference for future implementation of psychological distress interventions in AIDS patients.
