Nutritional risk of 711 AIDS patients co-infected with tuberculosis
Objective To analyze the characteristics and influencing factors of nutritional risk among AIDS patients with tuberculosis in Henan Province. Methods The clinical data of 711 AIDS patients with tuberculosis admitted to Henan Provincial Infectious Disease Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were retrospectively collected. The characteristics and influencing factors of nutritional risk were analyzed. Results The incidence of nutritional risk was 70.3%(500 cases)among the 711 AIDS patients with tuberculosis in Henan Province. The results of multivariate regression analysis showed that patients aged>60 years(OR=2.609,95%CI:1.375-4.949),with a history of smoking(OR=2.411,95%CI:1.617-3.595),and positive for sputum smear/culture(OR=1.919,95%CI:1.200-3.067)had a higher incidence of nutritional risk.Patients living in non-rural areas(OR=0.125,95%CI:0.031-0.500),with a HIV infection diagnosis time of ≥6 months(OR=0.532,95%CI:0.336-0.844),and with a CD4+T lymphocyte count>200 cells/μL(OR=0.191,95%CI:0.095-0.383)had a lower incidence of nutritional risk(P<0.05).Conclusions The nutritional risk of AIDS patients with tuberculosis in Henan Province was relatively high.More attention should be paid to patients with age>60 years, history of smoking, rural residence,HIV infection diagnosis time<6 months, positive sputum smear/culture,and CD4+T lymphocyte count ≤200 cells/μL.Scientific and reasonable intervention measures should be formulated and implemented among such patients to decrease the incidence of nutritional risk.
