Progress on social and molecular networks in prevention and control of HIV-infection among men who have sex with men
Men who have sex with men(MSM)represent a significant high-risk group for HIV infection in China, and therefore, effectively managing the HIV epidemic within this population holds the key to overall HIV control and prevention efforts in China.Complex network analyses, encompassing both social and molecular networks, possess tremendous potential in elucidating the transmission patterns of HIV among the MSM community, assessing the associated risks, and identifying high-risk individuals for targeted interventional strategies. This article aims to provide a comprehensive and critical review of current research pertaining to the application of social networks,HIV molecular networks, and the integration of social-molecular networks in understanding the epidemiology and transmission dynamics of HIV among MSM populations.
