Progress on application of digital technology in medication adherence among HIV/AIDS patients
HIV/AIDS represents a significant global public health concern,and the adherence to medication among HIV/AIDS patients who are undergoing combination antiretroviral therapy(cART)is of paramount importance for the effective management of the disease and the survival of the patient.In recent years,digital technology has been widely applied in the healthcare field.Its advantages,such as personalization,ease of data storage and access,make it a promising tool.Leveraging digital technology to enhance medication adherence among HIV/AIDS patients has become a new focus in AIDS prevention and treatment research.Digital technology is a computer-aided technology that integrates knowledge from various fields,including computing,design,network communication,and information management.It can be presented in various forms using multiple terminal technologies.This article provides a review of the research progress on the application of digital technology in enhancing medication adherence among HIV/AIDS patients,focusing on adherence education,follow-up monitoring,and intervention.
