Abstract

The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)in late 2019 has caused severe damage to human lives, public healthcare systems, and the global economy.Widespread immunization with inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine covers a global population and has demonstrated strong protective efficacy in preventing COVID-19 critical/serious illness and death. The elderly, children, pregnant and lactating women, patients with chronic diseases, and immunocompromised population are susceptible and at high risk for COVID-19.These people are also the major population hesitating to receive vaccine.Sufficient clinical researches on the safety and efficacy of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine have been reported globally in specifical population. In this review,we summarize the efficacy of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine and its immunogenicity and safety in specifical population,so as to provide a reference for vaccination strategies of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.
