Globalization,urbanization,and climate change contribute to the global spread of dengue fever in recent years.This has led to large outbreaks in areas where the disease is already common,as well as an increasing number of cases among travelers in areas where the disease is not typically found.As a result,dengue fever now poses a significant risk to public health.The prevention and control of dengue fever in China encounter numerous challenges.We provide a concise overview of the pathogenic properties,the historical and current global and domestic status of dengue fever,the current prevention and control strategies and the associated difficulties.
