Abstract

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS)is a globally prevalent infectious disease. The human body will undergo multiple stages of disease progression after human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infection, and a variety of biomarkers have been identified and confirmed for different stages. These biomarkers are widely used in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection and AIDS,significantly curbing the spread of the virus and im-proving the prognosis of the disease.However,HIV-infected individuals often experience varying degrees of damage to multiple organs or systems, leading to a more complex array of biomarkers that complicate treatment strategies. Therefore, this paper aims to review the research progress of biomarkers related to organ damage in HIV infection, addressing the challenges brought by the diversity and complexity of these biomarkers, with a view to providing potential solutions and insights to enhance personalized and precision treatment approaches,as well as prognostic assessment for AIDS.
