Clinical application of two kinds of operation method for nasal vestibular cyst
Objective To investigate the merits of uncover method for nasal vestibular cyst and labiogingival groove surgical approach for nasal vestibular cyst . Methods Thirty patients diagnosed with nasal vestibular cyst were allocated randomly into two groups according to the surgical methods .In the approach group,15 pa-tients were excised completely using a labiogingival groove surgical approach(control group),while 15 patients underwent an excision under the guidance of nasal endo-scopes(experimental group).The operational time,blood loss and complications were compared.Results The mean duration of surgery was shorter,mean estimated blood loss was less,respectively.And the incidences of postoperative lip swelling or numbness were lower in the experimental group .There were statistically significant differ-ences between the two groups.Conclusion Uncover method for nasal vestibular cyst under the guidance of nasal endoscopes is better than labiogingival groove surgical ap-proach is more suitable for Clinical application.
