Objective To analyze the association between Henoch-Schonlein syndrome (HSP) and Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection (MP) in children. Methods 87 cases with Henoch-Schonlein syndrome and Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in our department from 2009 to 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Results 87 patients aged from 2 to 13 were diagnosed with HSP and MP infection, male 48 cases and female 39 cases.42 patients had respiratory infection history and 5 patients had allergic history. All patients were given routine management for HSP and MP infection therapy, and 82 patients had full recovery and 5 showed improvement. Conclusion MP infection can induce HSP, regular anti-MP therapy is important in the treatment of HSP.
