Objective: To investigate the maxillectomy after prosthodontic treatment and the effects of. Methods: in our hospital from 2004 April ~2010 year in September admits the maxillary resection in 46 patients after operation of hollow maxillary obturator prosthesis restoration of oral function. Results: the prosthesis was worn for two weeks, all 46 patients face normal appearance, there were 40 patients with prosthesis fixation good masticatory function, normal, pronunciation is basic and clear, there were 6 patients with prosthesis fixation is poor, leading to poor masticatory function, the pronunciation is not clear. Conclusion: the hollow maxillary complex can improve the patients after maxillary resection of facial deformity and oral function, definite curative effect, worthy of clinical application.
