Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of nedaplatin in combination with calcium folinate and flrorouracil in treatment advanced esophageal carcinoma. Methods:63 patients with advanced esophageal cancer were divided into treatment group (31 cases)and control group(32cases).Treatment group was given nedaplatin combined with calcium folinate and Flrorouracil in therapy;control group was given cisplatin and calcium folinate and flrorouracil in therapy. Results:The overal response rate was 45.2%in the treatment group and 43.8%in control group (P>0.05). The median time to progression (TTP) was 8.2 months vs.8.0 months(P>0.05).Compared with control group, the treatment group,s side effects of neutropenia were not significant difference(P>0.05)., while the thrombopenia was higher (P=0.042). anemia, stomasitis , alopecia and peripheral nerve toxicity were not significant difference (P>0.05), while grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and renal toxicity were lower(P<0.05). Conclusion:The effect of nedaplatin combined with calcium folinate and flrorouracil have satisfactory effect in the treatment of advanced esophageal carcinoma, and the poisonous side effect is low. It can be used as first-line chemotherapy regimen.
