To explore the effect of psychological intervention on the rehabilitation effect of elderly patients with stroke, and provide the basis for the rehabilitation of the elderly stroke patients. Methods:60 cases of elderly stroke patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, each group of 30 cases. The two groups were given routine drug treatment of cerebrovascular disease, control group were given general health education, the observation group based on the system of psychological intervention for 4 weeks (including basic psychological intervention, individual intervention, family intervention). Before and after the treatment, the Hamilton Rating Scale for depression (HAMD), MOrisy questionnaire and the Scandinavia Stroke Scale (SSS) to evaluate the rehabilitation effect of two groups. Results before treatment, two groups of HAMD, MOrisy questionnaire, SSS score showed no significant difference (P >0.05); two groups of HAMD, MOrisy questionnaire, SSS scores were lower after treatment before treatment, there were significant differences (P<0.05), observed after treatment of group HAMD, MOrisy questionnaire, SSS scores were significantly lower than the control group, with significant difference (P < 0.01). Conclusion psychological intervention can reduce the elderly stroke patients with negative emotions, reduce depression;improve therapy compliance;improve the neurological function deficit;to strengthen the clinical healing effect.
