Objective: To investigate the application effect of psychological intervention of holistic nursing in the operating room. Methods: From January 2012 to June, 216 cases undergoing elective surgery were divided into observation group and control group, 108 cases in the control group using the traditional model of nursing, in observation group, on the basis of the traditional nursing, targeted psychological intervention was applied. Results: In the observation group with implementation of psychological intervention, the anxiety was significantly lower than the control group; the satisfaction degree (93.3%) was higher than the control group (80.0%), the differences were statistical y significant. Conclusion: In the application of high quality care in the operating room, psychological intervention could not only enhance the responsibility of the nurses, eliminate the patient's tension, fear, but also could improve patient satisfaction and reduce the incidence of perioperative complications, promote the rehabilitation of patients, improve the quality of nursing. At the same time, it could provide strong guarantee for hospital clinical pathways of the high quality nursing.
