Goal: Searching the surgicial effect and method of using free ilium skin graft to cure bone defect on foot. Method: Applying free ilium skin graft surgical cure to 4 adopted patients who have soft tissue defect and bone defect. Result: al the 4 patients’ cures achieve success, and the clinical effect is satisfying half to two years later after the surgeries. Tracing 6 patients with sufficient material for 3-6 months, three patients are excellent, two are good and one is acceptable, the rate of excellent and good is 83%. Conclusion: Applying free ilium skin graft to repair bone defect on foot with soft tissue defect and bone exposure can be done with one surgery, shortening the period of cure and the time of the healing of bone fracture, reducing the functional disability of joints adjacent to the fractured bone to the maximum. Patients can recover to walk soon.
