Objective:To explore the relationship of serum leptin and TNF with carotid plaque’s character in Acute erebral infarction (ACI)complicated by metabolic syndrome(MS).Method:126 ACI patients with carotis plaque were selected by transcranial Doppler were divided into MS group and non-MS group. The levels of serum leptin and TNF were compared in two groups. Carotis developed plaque in two groups were statistic and compared. The relationship of serum leptin and TNF with carotid plaque’s character in ACI complicated by MS were examined by Multiple logistic regression analysis·Result:The levels of serum leptin and TNF of ACI with MS were higher than those of ACI with non-MS.The incident of Carotis developed plaque in ACI with MS were higher than in ACI with non-MS.There was positive correlation beteen the levels of serum leptin and TNF with the incident of carotis developed plaque in ACI with MS(OR=0.073, P<0.05). Conclusion:MS is important risk factor of erebral infarction. The levels of serum leptin and TNF may be one of factors of Carotis developed plaque.
