Objective: To discuss the clinical significance of ultrasonic diagnosis on PML. Method: 40 children with PML were given color Doppler ultrasound examination and their image data were retrospectively analyzed. Result:Al the 40 children were detected with lymphadenectasis among which right lower abdomen 21 cases, around navel 11 cases and both right lower abdomen and around navel 7 cases. Their common image characteristics were:lymph glands were swel ing and arrayed in bead strings or clusters, located in mesenteric line areas, their boundaries of cortex and medul a were clear, envelopes were complete and surfaces were smooth, long diameter of swel ing lymph gland >1cm, the ratio of the length of shaft <2:1. CDFI showed: swel ing parts of lymph glands had abundant signals of blood flow. Conclusion: Color Doppler ultrasound has important diagnostic value for children with PML, it’s the first choice of diagnostic method for mesenteric lymphadenitis and worth of being popularized.
