This article discuss about the formula Wumeiwan elaborated by Zhang Zhongjing and mentioned in the Shang Han Lun and the Jin Kui Yao Lüe. Most of the commentators think this formula treat the inversion by ascaris in the jueyin syndrome, but on the basis of the explanation of the posterior doctors and on the modern use of Wumeiwan we can discover that the therapeutic range of this formula is particularly wide, it's not only used for treat the ascaris.
