Protective Effect and Mechanism of Probucol in the Hepatic Injury of Cyclophosphamide-induced rats
Aim To observe the effect of different dosages of probucol on the oxidative stress in the hepatic injury of cyclophosphamide-induced rats. Methods:The hepatic injury models were established by ip injection of cyclophosphamide.Al the rats were randomly divided into folowing groups: normal control rats ,model control, different dosages of Probucol treated hepatic injury rats. After 10 days, ALT、ASTwere detected and the liver tissue was acquired for measuring MDA、SOD、GSH-Px、NO and NOS.Result:Compared with model group, ALT、AST and renal concentration of MDA of probucol 800mg·kg-1group decreased significantly(P<0.05), while the activity of SOD、NO、NOS and GSH-Px increased significantly (P<0.05) .Histopathology of mice showed probucol can improve hepatic injury. Conclusion:Probucol can inhibit the oxidative stress in the hepatic injury of cyclophosphamide-induced rats.
