Influence of self-efficacy intervention on the pain and sleep quality of patients with fracture of lower limb
To research the effect of self-efficacy intervention on the pain and sleep quality of patients with fracture of lower limb.Methods:Totaly, 80 patients were randomly split up into an observation group and a control group, with 40 cases in each group. Three days before the operation the control group received preoperative education according to the conventional nursing model; self-efficacy theory were use in the observation group,based on the factors affecting the formation and changes of self-efficacy implemented preoperative education, one day before the operation, education was intensified including: Patients were asked to operate the PCA pump; Incentive, vicarious experience, told them how to utilize their support system, negative emotion handling and so on. Result:The pain scores in the observation group at 6th, 12th, 24th and 48th postoperative hours were significantly lower than those in the control group (p<0.02 for al). Sleep quality score in the observation group is below the control group (p<0.005).Conclusion:Self-efficacy intervention as an effective method for clinical intervention, can effectively decrease the level of postoperative pain, improve analgesia effect and sleep quality in patients.
