The application of laryngeal mask airway for endotracheal intubation failure in cesarean section
To investigate the safety and feasibility of laryngeal mask airway as alternatives for the failing of endotracheal intubation in cesarean section.Methods:To analyse the data of 3 cases that undergoing cesarean section under general anesthesia retrospectively. Laryngeal mask airway were inserted after endotracheal intubation failure in the 3 cases. To analyse the time from maternal anesthesia start to surgery start, intraoperative vital signs, blood loss, anesthesia related complications, and fetal Apgar score of 1 min, 5 min and 10 min after birth.Results:The vital signs of the 3 cases were stable, The effect of anesthesia is good and there were no complications. The Apgar score of the neonatal in 1 min, 5 min and 10 min were> 8.Conclusion:Laryngeal mask airway is an safe and effective remedy for endotracheal intubation failure in cesarean section.
