The microsurgical treatment for sphenoid ridge meningiomas
To explore the the key points of total resection and the prevention of complications of the sphenoid ridge meningiomas.Methods: The clinical data from surgery of 17 patients since june 2008 to june 2013 of sphenoid ridge meningiomas with clinical manifestations, surgical treatment effect were retrospectively analyzed .Results:13 cases reached resection of Simpson grade I. 1 case with oculomotor paralysis and 2 cases with cerebral infarction occurred after the operation.Conclusion: We should give priority to microsurgical resection to threat the sphenoid ridge meningiomas.Strict hemostasis and protection of the brain tissue and blood vessel during operation were the keys to the prevention of complications after operation.
