The new basic surveying and mapping standards system formulated by the state has macro guidance,but there are differences in the current situation of basic surveying and mapping in different regions.This article analyzes the current situation of the new basic surveying and mapping local standards system in Gansu province based on the actual situation.According to the requirements of the construction of the new basic surveying and mapping system,it proposes a suitable local standards system for basic geographic entities in Gansu province based on the entire process including basic geographic entity classification,conversion production,collection,database construction,and quality inspection,in order to adapt to the local surveying and mapping production and management needs of Gansu province,promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional surveying and mapping towards geographical entity surveying and mapping,and provide basic data and demonstration experience for the comprehensive promotion of the construction of the new basic surveying and mapping system in Gansu province.
