In order to implement Chinese President Xi Jinping's important instructions on practicing strict economy and preventing food waste,and the Anti-food Waste Law of the People's Republic of China,as well as improve the system for assessing and reporting the effectiveness of preventing food waste work in Party and government organ canteens,Jiangxi province has formulated and issued the local standard DB36/T 1787-2023,Specification for evaluating the effectiveness of preventing food waste work in government organ canteens,and has carried out spot check and performance evaluation of preventing food waste in Party and government organ canteens based on this standard.This paper starts with the standardization status of preventing food waste in Party and government organ canteens,and takes Jiangxi province as an example to delineate the optimal working path to improve the effectiveness of preventing food waste in government organ canteens by standardization integration.It analyzes the common problems and countermeasures of preventing food waste work in the canteens,and explores the mechanism to evaluate the effectiveness of preventing food waste in Party and government organ canteens by standardization integration,to provide referable experience for promoting the effectiveness of preventing food waste work in Party and government organ canteens nationwide.
