This paper,based on a comprehensive survey of material sectoral standards across the Taiwan Strait,outlines the general landscape of these standards on both sides.It compares the differences in typical standards within the steel and plastic materials industries,and delves into the common difficulties and obstacles hindering the harmonization of material sectoral standards between the two sides.Subsequently,it puts forward reasonable suggestions for achieving common standardization in the material industry across the Taiwan Strait.By constructing a new path towards common standardization,it is anticipated to play a vital role in facilitating economic and trade cooperation,enhancing product quality,and promoting integrated development,so as to contribute to accelerating the growth of new quality productive forces within the material industries on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
