Currently,there has been controversy in the quality acceptance of building energy-saving material testing projects regarding whether the cross-sectional area of wire and cable conductors needs to be determined or how to make qualified judgments.Based on the research on wire and cable standards and the summary of practical experience in testing,this article analyzes the necessity of conductor cross-sectional area testing and studies feasible methods for determining cross-sectional area,in order to provide further improvement of testing requirements and judgment criteria for all parties in the industry.
