Effect of Standardized Nutrition Intervention on the Prevention of Postoperative Complications of Colorectal Cancer
Objective:To investigate the effect of standardized nutrition intervention in the prevention of postoperative complications of colorectal cancer. Methods:A total of 200 patients who received colorectal cancer surgery in the Gansu University of Chinese Medicine from 2018 to 2023 were selected as research objects and divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 100 patients in each group. The experimental group received standardized nutrition intervention, and the control group received conventional nutrition management. Results:Compared with the control group, the incidence of postoperative complications was significantly reduced in the experimental group, especially the infection complications. The average length of stay in hospital was reduced to 12.5 days in the experimental group and 16.8 days in the control group. The weight recovery of the experimental group at 3 months and 6 months after operation was better than that of the control group. The results of quality of life questionnaire(EORTC QLQ-C30)showed that the score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Standardized nutrition intervention is effective in the prevention of postoperative complications of colorectal cancer, which can not only effectively reduce the incidence of complications and shorten the length of hospital stay, but also promote weight recovery and improve the quality of life of patients.
