OBJECTIVE To analyze the supply status and problems of hospital at home in Shanghai,and to provide reference for the high-quality development of hospital at home.METHODS By the mixed research method of qualitative and quantitative analysis,91 community health service instructions in four administrative districts in the urban and suburban areas of Shanghai were selected to analyze the situation in 2021 related to the beds,human resources,and service programs of hospital at home.Interviews were conducted with 44 people on the supply side and demand side of hospital at home,and 10 experts were consulted to analyze the current status and problems of hospital at home in Shanghai.RESULTS The hospital at home network in Shanghai was relatively perfect,showing a steady and positive trend.However,there were some problems,such as poor drug distribution channels,basic equipment configuration,uneven allocation of human resources between urban and suburban areas,lack of a targeted performance appraisal system and clinical operation standards,and the lack of scale in the development of marketization.CONCLUSION Hospital at home in Shanghai need to be strengthened in terms of human,material,and information system construction,to stimulate the motivation of healthcare workers to provide the service,and to give more policy support to socially-run medical institutions to encourage them to provide the service.
