Investigation on the Current Situation of Home Hospital Bed Service in Hongqiao Community Health Service Center in Changning District of Shanghai
OBJECTIVE Based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of home bed patient service in Hongqiao Community Health Service Center in Changning District of Shanghai,the role and current situation of home bed service in the community pension system were discussed.METHODS A retrospective survey was conducted to investigate the home-based hospital beds provided by the Hongqiao Community Health Service Center from January 2020 to December 2023,including the patients'basic information,disease types,and medical personnel.RESULTS From 2020 to 2023,the number of home-based hospital beds in Hongqiao Street Community Health Service Center were 465,498,324,and 446 respectively,totaling 1 733 beds.The number of beds established decreased significantly in 2022 due to the epidemic,but in other years,the number of beds established was between 6.4‰ and 7.2‰.The number of traditional Chinese medicine beds were 158,187,116,and 151 respectively,accounting for more than 30%.The age distribution of patients ranged from 52 to 103 years old,with a median age of 88.5 years old.The main diseases in this community were chronic diseases,with hypertension being the highest(40.8%),followed by cardiovascular diseases(30.8%)and cerebrovascular diseases(12.6%).In addition,patients receiving home-based palliative care accounted for 2.3%.There are a total of 15 doctors and 8 nursing staff in our center who are part-time engaged in home-based hospital bed work.CONCLUSION Home-based hospital bed services play an important role in the management of chronic diseases.In the future,it also needs to further improve and promote the comprehensive development of Home-based hospital bed services by improving the corresponding laws and regulations,accelerating the construction of professional talents,improving the incentive mechanism for medical staff,and continuously innovating and expanding service content.
