The effect of bird's nest nursing on newborns with hyperbilirubinemia
Objective To analyze the effect of bird's nest nursing on the clinical effect of newborns with hyperbilirubinemia, and provide guidance for the clinical nursing of newborns with hyperbilirubinemia. Methods A total of 96 children with hyperbilirubinemia admitted to Gaotang County People's Hospital from January 2020 to October 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a routine group and an intervention group according to the principle of single or even number grouping, with 48 cases in each group. The routine group received routine nursing, while the intervention group received bird's nest nursing. The clinical indicators before and after nursing and improvement time of clinical symptoms between two groups were compared. Results After nursing, the jaundice index, indirect bilirubin levels and total bilirubin levels in the intervention group were lower than those in the routine group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The first defecation time, jaundice resolution time, jaundice duration and jaundice turning time in the intervention group were shorter than those in the routine group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of bird's nest nursing in the clinical nursing of newborns with hyperbilirubinemia could significantly improve jaundice index, indirect bilirubin levels and total bilirubin levels, shorten the time for clinical symptom improvement, and was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
