Effect of thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer on lung function of patients
Objective To analyze the changes of lung function after thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer. Methods A total of 80 patients who underwent radical resection of lung cancer in Chiping District People's Hospital from April 2018 to April 2021 were selected for study. They all underwent pathological examination and were diagnosed as early lung cancer with pathological stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ.All of them had surgical treatment indications. They were divided into control group and study group by random lottery method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received radical thoracotomy for lung cancer, while the study group received radical resection of lung cancer under thoracoscopy. The pulmonary function indexes(maximum ventilation, forced vital capacity and forced expiratory volume within 1 second),operation conditions(operation time, intraoperative blood loss, number of lymph node dissections and hospital stay),postoperative metastasis and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results Before operation, there was no statistical significance in pulmonary function indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).After operation, the pulmonary function indexes of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The surgical time of the study group patients was(156.49±27.16)minutes,which was shorter than that of the control group with(178.46± 33.07)minutes;the intraoperative blood loss was(173.24±15.57)mL,which was lower than that of the control group with(284.16±37.19)mL;the number of lymph node dissection was(15.34±1.12),which was higher than that of the control group with(14.26±2.18);the length of hospital stay was(12.26±3.14)days,which was shorter than that of the control group with(15.83±3.61)days;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in postoperative metastasis and recurrence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with thoracotomy, thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer had less impact on patients'lung function, shorter operation time and hospital stay, and more lymph node dissections. It was suitable to be popularized in clinic.
