Application of safety management in artificial airway nursing for critically ill patients
Objective To observe the application effect of safety management in artificial airway nursing for critically ill patients,in order to provide reference for improving nursing effectiveness. Methods A total of 68 critically ill patients admitted to Gaotang County People's Hospital from November 2019 to November 2020 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group, with 34 cases in each group, using the parity method. The control group received basic nursing intervention on the artificial airway, while the observation group received safety management intervention on the artificial airway. The nursing quality score, accidental tube removal rate and airway blockage rate between two groups were compared. Results The nursing quality score of the observation group patients was(79.65± 4.98)points,which was higher than the control group's(61.53±4.28)points,and the difference was statistically significant(t=16.090 3,P<0.05).The incidences of accidental tube removal and airway obstruction in the observation group were 2.94%and 2.94%,which were both lower than the control group's 35.29%and 26.47%,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of safety management in artificial airway nursing for critically ill patients had shown significant results, improving nursing quality, reducing the occurrence of adverse events, and ensuring the rehabilitation effect of the disease. It was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
