Therapeutic effect of hanging plaster combined with splint in the treatment of humeral projectile fractures
Objective To explore the clinical treatment effect of hanging plaster combined with plaster splint in humeral projectile fractures,in order to provide reference for improving clinical treatment effect of patients. Methods A total of 86 patients with humeral projectile fractures admitted to Liaocheng Chiping District People's Hospital from October 2019 to October 2020 were selected as the study subjects. All selected patients were male soldiers and were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 43 patients in each group. The control group received hanging plaster treatment, while the observation group received hanging plaster combined with plaster splint treatment. The fracture healing time, excellent rate of shoulder elbow function and treatment satisfaction rate between two groups of patients were compared. Results The fracture healing time in the observation group was(7.25±2.32)weeks,which was shorter than that in the control group with(10.26±2.53)weeks,and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.810,P<0.05).The excellent rate of shoulder elbow function in the observation group was 97.67%,which was higher than 83.72%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.962,P<0.05).The total satisfaction rate of patients in the observation group was 95.35%,which was higher than that in the control group with 69.77%,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=9.771,P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of humeral projectile fractures, the combination of hanging plaster and plaster splint was more effective than hanging plaster treatment, which helped to shorten the healing time of fractures, improve the shoulder elbow function in patients, promote recovery of joint function of patients, and which was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
