Effect of non-invasive ventilation in the treatment of COPD combined with respiratory failure
Objective To explore the clinical effect of non-invasive ventilation in the treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)combined with respiratory failure, and to provide referential experience for clinical practice. Methods From June 2021 to September 2022,75 patients with COPD combined with respiratory failure treated in Liaocheng Chiping District People's Hospital were selected as the study objects. They were divided into control group with 37 cases and observation group with 38 cases, according to the random number table method. The control group received routine treatment, while the observation group received non-invasive ventilation treatment. The clinical efficacy and improvement of blood gas indicators before and after treatment between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.74%,which was higher than 78.38%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.341,P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in blood gas indicators(PaO2 and PaCO2)between the two groups of patients(P>0.05);after treatment, both groups of patients showed an increase in PaO2 and a decrease in PaCO2,and the PaO2 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and PaCO2 was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of non-invasive ventilation in the treatment of patients with COPD combined with respiratory failure could improve clinical effect, which was beneficial for improving patients'blood gas status and disease recovery. It was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
