Clinical observation of probiotics in the synergistic treatment for mild to moderate hypertension
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of probiotics in the synergistic treatment of mild to moderate hypertension. Methods A total of 38 patients with mild to moderate hypertension admitted from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group, with 19 cases in each group, using random number table method. The control group received routine antihypertensive treatment, while the observation group received synergistic treatment with Bifidobacterium Triple Bioactive Powder on the basis of routine antihypertensive treatment. The levels of blood pressure, gut microbiota before and after treatment and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the levels of SBP and DBP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of Lactobacillus,Bacteroidetes,Bifidobacterium,Escherichia coli and Enterococcus in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.26%,which was lower than 31.58%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.378,P<0.05).Conclusion The synergistic treatment with probiotics could achieve significant efficacy in patients with mild to moderate hypertension, which not only had high safety but also improved the control effect of blood pressure levels. It was recommended that patients with mild to moderate hypertension took probiotic adjuvant therapy for a long time.
