Study on the impact of painless delivery on the maternal and infant outcomes of primiparous women
Objective To explore the impact of painless delivery during the delivery process of primiparous women on the maternal and infant outcomes, and to provide guidance for improving the maternal and infant outcomes of primiparous women. Methods A total of 100 primiparous women who gave birth at Tengzhou Central People's Hospital from January to December 2022,based on wishes of pirmiparous women,50 primiparous women who chose natural delivery were included in the control group, and 50 primiparous women who chose painless delivery were included in the study group. The first and second stages of labor, pain scores, cesarean section conversion rates, postpartum bleeding volume, neonatal asphyxia rates and neonatal Apgar scores between two groups were compared. Results The first and second stages of labor in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, and the pain score and conversion rate to cesarean section were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The postpartum hemorrhage volume of the study group was(107.42±15.44)mL,which was less than that of the control group with(132.57±26.71)mL,and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.764,P<0.05).The Apgar score of newborns of the study group was(9.17±3.98)points,which was higher than that of the control group with(7.41±1.57)points,and the difference was statistically significant(t=2.909,P<0.05).The neonatal asphyxia rate in the study group was 0.00%,which was lower than that in the control group with 8.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.167,P<0.05).Conclusion Providing painless delivery for primiparous women during the delivery process could significantly improve analgesic effects without affecting maternal and infant outcomes, and had high application value in department of obstetrics and gynecology.
