The influence of KAP nursing on psychology and compliance of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective To analyze the influence of knowledge-attitude-practice(KAP)nursing on psychology and compliance of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus,and to explore the better nursing method for type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods A total of 100 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to the outpatient department of Tianjin Hexi Hospital from April 2019 to September 2020 were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,and the observation group received KAP nursing on the basis of control group.The scores of self rating depression scale(SDS)and self rating anxiety scale(SAS)were compared between the two groups before and after nursing,the compliance rate of health behavior and the blood glucose level between the two groups were evaluated.Results There were no significant differences in the scores of SDS and SAS between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05);after nursing,the SDS and SAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before nursing,and the observation group was lower than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The compliance rates of reasonable exercise,blood glucose monitoring,quitting smoking and alcohol,diet control and medication according to medical advice in the observation group were 90.00%,92.00%,94.00%,94.00%and 98.00%,respectively,which were higher than 72.00%,72.00%,80.00%,70.00%and 84.00%in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before nursing,there were no statistically significant differences in 2hPBG and FBG between the two groups(P>0.05);after nursing,the 2hPBG and FBG of the two groups were lower than those before nursing,and the observation group was lower than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion KAP nursing could relieve anxiety and depression emotion of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus,improve treatment and nursing compliance,and better control blood sugar,which was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
