Application effect of touching nursing skills in newborns
Objective To explore the application effect of touch nursing skills in the process of providing nursing for newborns, and to provide reference for clinical nursing of newborns. Methods A total of 320 newborns admitted to Tianjin TEDA Hospital from March 2019 to March 2020 were selected and divided into control group and study group, with 160 cases in each group, using a lottery method. The control group received routine nursing complicated with parenting guidance, while the study group received touch nursing skills on the basis of the control group. After 6-month follow-up,the body length, weight, head circumference, sleep time and milk intake between the two groups were compared. Results After 6 months of follow-up,the body weight and head circumference of newborns in the study group were(7.83±0.91)kg and(46.25±2.47)cm,which were larger than those in the control group with(6.16±0.87)kg and(41.39±2.38)cm,and the body length and sleep time were(66.34±3.12)cm and(16.31±0.54)h,which were longer than those in the control group with(59.65±2.86)cm and(14.27±0.85)h,the amount of milk intake was(985.53±15.62)mL/24 h,which was more than that in the control group with(726.64±18.59)mL/24 h,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the process of providing nursing for newborns, the application of touch nursing skills on the basis of routine nursing complicated with parenting guidance not only promoted the growth of newborn body length, weight, and head circumference, but also increased the amount of milk intake and prolongs their sleep time, which had a positive promoting effect on the better growth and development of newborns.
