The application effect of clinical nursing pathway in pediatric pneumonia
Objective To analyze the effectiveness of applying clinical nursing pathways for pediatric pneumonia, and to provide guidance for clinical nursing of pediatric pneumonia. Methods Seventy pediatric pneumonia patients admitted to Heze Maternal and Child Health Care Plan Service Center from November 2019 to October 2021 were selected and divided into observation group and control group, with 35 cases in each group according to the random drawing method. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received clinical nursing pathways. The disappearance time of fever, shortness of breath, cough and lung rales, hospitalization time, hospitalization costs and incidence of complications between two groups were compared. Results The disappearance time of fever, shortness of breath, cough and lung rales in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The hospitalization time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the hospitalization costs was less than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 2.9%,which was lower than 17.1%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=3.968,P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing clinical nursing pathway intervention in pediatric pneumonia patients was beneficial for shortening the time for symptom improvement and hospitalization, reducing hospitalization costs, and reducing the risk of complications. It was worth promoting and applying in clinical practice.
