The impact of diversified nursing on the functional recovery of surgical infection patients undergoing VSD
Objective To analyze the impact of diversified nursing interventions on the functional recovery of patients undergoing closed negative pressure drainage(VSD)for surgical infections. Methods Ninety patients with surgical infections treated with VSD at Quanzhou Orthopedic Hospital from February 2022 to January 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 45 patients in each group. All patients underwent VSD,and control group patients received routine nursing care(including preoperative routine education and psychological intervention, etc.),while observation group patients received diversified nursing interventions. The excellent recovery rate, prognostic indicators, and nursing satisfaction rate between two groups were compared. Results The overall satisfaction rate of nursing care for the observation group patients was 97.78%,which was higher than the 82.22%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=6.049,P<0.05).The observation group had lower dressing changes, shorter granulation tissue growth and wound healing time, and shorter hospital stay than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of the observation group patients was 97.78%,which was higher than the control group's 84.44%,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.939,P<0.05).Conclusion Diversified nursing interventions had achieved good nursing effects in VSD patients with surgical infections. This nursing intervention could promote patient functional recovery and wound healing, and patients recover faster. Moreover, patients had a high satisfaction rate with this nursing intervention measure.
