The impact of stratified nursing on the quality of life of elderly patients with lumbar disc herniation
Objective To analyze the impact of stratified nursing on the quality of life of elderly patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods A total of 82 elderly LDH patients admitted to Fuzhou Second General Hospital Neuropsychiatric Prevention and Treatment Hospital from January 1st,2022 to June 30th,2022 were included.Using a random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 41 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received stratified nursing. The pain level, quality of life, lumbar function and nursing satisfaction rate between the two groups of patients were compared. Results There were no significant differences in the scores of VAS,SF-36 and JOA between the two groups of patients before nursing(P>0.05);after 3 months of nursing, the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, while the SF-36 and JOA scores were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The toal nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group was 97.56%,which was higher than 80.49%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=6.116,P<0.05).Conclusion During the treatment of elderly LDH patients, combined with stratified nursing intervention could effectively reduce body pain of patients, improve lumbar function of patients, enhance their quality of life, and gain patient recognition. It was worth promoting and implementing in clinical practice.
