Research on Historical Writings on Wang Yangming in Ming and Qing Dynasty Nan'an Fu Records
Historical writings on Wang Yangming in Nan'an Fu Records in Ming and Qing Dynasty presented different features of the times. The features of the Reign of Jiajing of Ming Dynasty were to honor his causes and contributions, but to economize his thinkings.By the Reign of Wanli, recordings increased in number, and the position of Yangming Studies thoughts was uplifted.During the Reign of Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, his outstanding achievements in quelling rebellious dukes were projected, and praises and disparages of Yangming thoughts coexisted.During the Reign of Qianlong, his causes and contributions in quelling rebellions were recorded in detail, and the orthodoxy of Zhu Studies was emphasized.By the late Qing Dynasty period, the thoughts of Zhu and Wang were reconciled, and the rule of Confucianism was reestablished.Historical writings on Wang Yangming in Ming and Qing Dynasty Nan an Fu Records were influenced by factors such as official ideologies, and the academic leanings of compilers. In general, there were progressive increases in recordings of Wang Yangming's causes and contributions or academic thoughts, whereas the position of Wang Yangming and Yangming Studies in fu records also was also gradually uplifted.Under the construction of Nan'an Fu Records compilers,"place of Yangming's passage and cultivation of the local people"and"township where Zhou Dunyi,Cheng Hao,and Chen Yi preached the Dao"together became the cultural labels of Nan'an Fu.
