The Eighth Route Army Shandong Column Party Organization Construction Research—Based on Examinations of Local War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression References
The Eighth Route Army Shandong Column was a local force in War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression established by CPC Shandong provincial committee after the War of Resistance broke out comprehensively.Due to lack of"old Eighth Route Army"basis,the scale and effectiveness of party organizations within the force lagged far behind comparing with regular forces.Since 1939,following situation of the War of Resistance and necessity of standardization development of armed forces,CPC used the method of consolidation and successfully made party organizations"landed and rooted"in respective branches of the Eighth Route Army Shandong Column.In the process of specific implementation,at the former phase emphasis was placed on the construction of party political leadership,at the later phase the party organization and leadership was radiated to the grassroots by constructing"model party branches"and strengthening education within party.Meanwhile,restrictions and control of power were also strengthened to solid the supervision work within the party.Under the circumstances of war of resistance behind enemy lines,in spite of deficiencies in party organization construction of the Eighth Routh Army Shandong Column in terms of leading force and effectiveness,important foundations for development and expansion of Shandong War of Resistance bases were finally established,benefiting from CPC's good mechanism of fault prevention and rectification.
