Reflections and Construction:Methodology of Textual Studies on the Intellectual History of the CPC
Studies of the intellectual history of the CPC have yielded rich achievements in the study of the histori-cal periods and their contexts,the thoughts of individuals,and the classic texts.However,the focus of research has primarily been on individuals and texts,leading to trends such as excessive interpretations of the textual meaning,insufficient studies of the process of ideological formation,and relatively weak research on the accept-ance of ideological conflicts.Therefore,it is possible to deepen the study of the intellectual history of the CPC by borrowing from textual studies methods.First,it is essential to explore the aggregation and emergence of ideas within the textual genealogy,paying attention to the integrity and continuity of ideas in different types of texts and distinguishing between the competitiveness and uniqueness of ideas in similar texts.Second,it is crucial to study the dissemination and acceptance of ideas through textual circulation,elucidating the CPC's arduous process of shaping ideas and achieving grassroots mobilization.
