This paper aims to explore the construction and development of a Chinese characteristic career education theory from the perspective of traditional Chinese culture of"Xiu Qi Zhi Ping"(achieving personal integrity and social harmony).Adopting a research method that combines historical review and philosophical analysis,it systematically reviews the origin and development of Western career education theories,as well as the challenges they face in the VUCA era.Furthermore,it summarizes the current development status of career education theories in China and emphasizes the necessity of constructing a Chinese characteristic career education theory.The paper argues that the holistic and progressive traditional career education theory in China,deeply rooted in its history,deserves in-depth exploration in contemporary career education theories.It clarifies the differences between traditional Chinese career education theories and current theories,analyzes the essence and implications of the"Xiu Qi Zhi Ping"career education theory,and establishes its relevance and inspiration for the present.This study provides possible directions for constructing a Chinese characteristic career education theory system.
