Research on Employment Mentality and Job Search Behavior of College Graduates Based on Social Cognitive Career Theory
Based on the social cognitive career theory,this study investigated 422 college graduates in 2023 with psychological scales to explore the status quo and relationship between employment mentality and job search behavior of graduates.The results showed that graduates think that employment is mainly affected by changes of social and job skills and knowledge demands;job search behavior could affect the results of employment;job search behavior is influenced by psychological variables such as career goals,job search clarity,proactive personality and perfectionism,as well as demographic variables such as gender,student origin,and professional category.This study shows that we should attach importance to understanding the employment mentality and job search behavior of college graduates from the perspective of psychology,and build a full-cycle career planning education system to promote the employment of college graduates in the new era.
