The status quo of the supply and demand relationship for employment positions of college graduates in China from 2000 to 2023 are as follows.Both the total supply and demand for college graduates have been increasing,yet the demand for employment positions has grown more rapidly.With the ongoing industrial transformation and upgrading,the structure of job supply has become increasingly complex,posing greater challenges for aligning talent cultivation with industry needs.While the quality of supply and demand has improved,the imbalance between the two is more evident on the demand side,though the root cause lies in the supply.In light of the current supply-demand dynamics,efforts should be directed towards aligning the expectations of all parties involved,enhancing the integration of professional education and employment education('dual education integration'),improving seamless convergence of education,industry,trade,and occupation('fourfold integration'),adjusting the expectations of teachers and students,revitalizing the stock of available positions,optimizing university recruitment performance,and fostering the high-quality development of graduate employment.
